We made the most of our fall season this weekend with our trip to Postcard Cabins! The weather and foliage was perfect for sitting around the campfire and snuggling up with a book. Here are a few things I brought to make the weekend extra cozy:
- Snacks from home – this always reminds me of going on road trips with my family, so I love stocking up at the Korean grocery store before a road trip. Cup ramen is a must for a late-night snack by the fire. Some of my favorites include:
- Maxim (Instant Coffee)
- Turtle Chips
- Hot Cheetos
- Binch Sandwich Cookies (we used these for s’mores and they were delectable)
- Can of Spam for breakfast (goes great with eggs)
- Slip-on clogs – kind of a strange one, but trust me. When you’re constantly going in and out of the cabin, you’ll want something easy and comfortable to slip on and off. Our family is strictly no shoes inside (even inside the cabin!) so these were a lifesaver for me. Plus, pair them with your favorite crew socks and they’re perfect!
- An extra blanket – the weather was pretty chilly and having a blanket to drape on my lap while I was sitting by the fire was PERFECT. Extra points if the blanket is on theme!
- My Kindle – great for anytime, but especially when it gets dark out. Normally you’d have to head inside (and while the book lights about the bed are super useful), I didn’t want to leave the fire and the Kindle is perfect for reading when the sun has set.
- A stack of books! Obviously it doesn’t need to be QUITE this large, but I also wanted to share some book recs for the fall….
