I didn’t realize how much my husband and I needed this weekend getaway to disconnect from the outside world and reconnect with each other until our weekend at Postcard Cabins. From the moment we arrived we could feel something truly magical about this place. Tucked away in the most beautiful forest and surrounded by only the sounds of nature, you will find this cozy retreat stocked with everything you need for a romantic getaway for two. Offering an opportunity for you to disconnect from the everyday and really take time to be present.
While you could easily spend all of your time relaxing in the cabin or talking endlessly together, there are plenty of activities you could do to make your trip especially romantic. So to help you make the most of your trip to Postcard Cabins, here are 5 things you could do to make your cabin escape romantic and help reconnect with your partner:
1. Make Heart-shaped Campfire Pizza
One of our favorite activities from our trip was making heart-shaped pizzas over the campfire. We had never done this before so it was so much fun and was a perfect bonding activity as we helped each make the perfect shaped hearts! Every cabin has access to its own private fire pit where we spent a lot of our time cuddled by the fire! Don’t forget s’mores for dessert.

2. Add A Romantic Touch To Your Cabin
Postcard cabins are a perfect escape for celebrating birthdays, anniversaries, and even Valentine’s Day. But remember you don’t need a holiday to be romantic so make your cabin extra special with her favorite flowers and champagne, balloons, and don’t forget rose petal everywhere! Add some flameless candles for an intimate vibe at night
3. Bring board games like Scrabble and Uno
We love how Postcard Cabins encourages you to put away your phones during your stay so we made sure to bring some of our favorite childhood board games to play. You have to add this cute twist to your next Scrabble game by only using words that remind you of your partner, or a past memory you have together, and let them guess why!
4. Breakfast in bed
A staple inside every Postcard cabin is the epic window overlooking the trees and nature. What better way to spend the morning then a delicious breakfast and hot coffee, snuggled together in bed while soaking in the views before starting your day.
5. Watch the sunset
You’ll find yourselves admiring that beautiful window every morning and night. One of our favorite ways to nightcap any romantic night is taking in the sunset together. Did you know watching sunsets can release dopamine to help boost the mood and romance for the night! From your bed or the fire pit, make sure to catch the sunset as the sky and trees change colors. The cabins feel so private that it almost feels like mother nature is putting on a show just for you.
